“Half dog, half man” - would be a way I have been described. I have an infinity with dogs they seem to trust me. Growing up with dogs from a young age I was never not playing or walking dogs. I recently trained my Labrador retriever in the UK. Who I miss dearly but he is with my mother who is feeding him too much and making lots of fuss of him.
I take a soft approach with dogs and let them find trust and security in me before I would take them on to walk or play or come into their space at home or even in the park. Once trust is established then I can build a relationship with the dog and become their friend. Dogs are my kind of people. Regularly in the UK I would take care of friends dogs while they went away or I would take them for walks feed them but most importantly rub their tummies and tell them they are “good boys/girls”
If there is any issues at anytime I would take the up most care and all necessary precautions to ensure the dogs health is my number 1 priority.
